Project
I put the “Om” in eCommerce. I had the pleasure of developing an eCommerce and subscription-based learning yoga website that combined my passion for coding and wellness. With this website, users could purchase yoga gear, accessories, art from the yogini, Ama Makeda, and subscribe to virtual yoga classes to enhance their practice. I enjoyed creating features such as course enrollment, and user management to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for users.
Goal
From Om to Home: MaFlow Yoga
For this project, I built a website using WordPress as the content management system. I decided to incorporate a learning management system plugin that allows users to subscribe to virtual yoga classes and track their progress through modules and quizzes. I also implemented the REST API endpoints to provide data to a mobile app that allows users to access the same content on their phones. Currently, I’m working on implementing a journaling plugin that will enable users to track their yoga journey by adding notes, photos, and progress milestones.
Frameworks
WordPress | bootstrap | Jquery
I used WordPress because it’s a versatile and user-friendly platform that allows me to quickly build and manage content-rich websites without extensive coding.
Design Pattern
MVC
I chose the MVC design pattern for my WordPress site because it promotes separation of concerns, making the code more modular, maintainable, and scalable.
